the imagined project stems from observing large ore shipping docks and their epic spatial opportunities. in this case, new spaces are elevated on top of the ore shipping docks at the minnesota-wisconsin border on lake superior. the program could be but is not limited to cafes, music venues, restaurants, or basic exhibition rooms, all with new vantage points of lake superior, duluth, and the surrounding landscapes.  at the least, they could become outdoor gardens with a guardrail.
